Objectives

Chapter 1-Looking Back:

*Review Multiplication concepts.

*Review multiplication facts for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10.

*Multiply a number by 0 and 1.

*Review division concept

*Review division facts for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10.

*Divide a number by 1 and 0 using the inverse relationship between multiplication and division.

*Identify the correct 4 operations symbols to make the equations true.

*Using the greater than, smaller than symbols and equal sign.

*Review of word problems.

*Identify the use of multiplication or division in a word problem.

 

Chapter 2:More Word Problems:

*Represent simple word problems involving division or multiplication with a part-whole model.

*Solve two-step word problems using all 4 operations.

*Associate multiplication with "how many times more" in word problems.

*Practice multiplication and division facts.

*Practice 1-step and 2-step word problems.

*Practice multiplication and division facts involving 1 and 0.

 

Chapter 3: Multiplying Ones, Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands

*Multiply tens and hundreds by 1-digit number.

*Write multiplication problems vertically.

*Relate the term product to multiplication.

*Multiply a 2-digit number by 2, 3, 4, or 5 with renaming only the tens.

*Solve word problems involving multiplying a 2-digit number.

*Multiply a 3-digit number by 2, 3, 4, or 5.

*Multiply a 3-digit number by 2, 3, 4, or 5 with renaming up to three places.

*Multiply a 4-digit number by 2, 3, 4, or 5.

*Multiply a 4-digit number by 2, 3, 4, or 5 with renaming up to three places.

*Solve word problems involving multiplying 4-dgit numbers.

*Multiply a 2-digit number by any 1 digit number.

*Multiply 10, 11, or 12 with a 4-digit number.

*Divide a 3-digit number by 2

*Divide a 3-digit number by 3, 4, or 5.

*Solve word problems involving division of a 3-digit number.
