I strongly recommend that every student completes a Practice Test and Practice Drill each week and turn them in for a point in Effort.

In First Grade Math, the most important skill you must attain is the ability to quickly and accurately recall math facts.  The addition facts range from 0+0=0 to 12+12=24.  The subtraction facts range from 0-0=0 to 24-12=12.  These facts must be memorized!!  Daily practice at home with these facts is needed!  

 

Tests

There will be several Math Facts Drills and at least one Singapore Math Test each week.

Math Academic Support

Math Academic Support is by invitation only!  For First Graders it is from 2:00 p.m to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.  If needed, I will make arrangements with you and the Homeroom Teacher for your child to come.
