We had a great Fall Festival.  Thank you everyone for all your help!

During November, we will be adding 4,  0-5, and 5 to numbers zero through twelve. We will also be subtracting 4 from 4-16, 0-4 from 0-16 and 5 from 5-17 with a difference of 0-12.  Please make sure your child is working on these daily! There will be, "Memory" drills on these weekly. We will also complete Unit 4 on Subtraction and Unit 5 on Position. For a complete description of those units, please see the First Grade Concepts Section on my website.

This month, I have tentatively scheduled the First Grade Singapore Tests for the following dates:  

Thursday, November 5th-Unit 4 Chapter 2 on Methods of Subtraction. 

Thursday, November 12th- Unit 5 Chapter 1 Test on Position and Direction.

Thursday, November 19th-Unit 5 Chapter 2 Test on Ordinal Numbers, Naming Positions.

Thursday, November 26th-NO TEST. ENJOY YOUR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY!

There are practice tests available for each of those tests on the First Grade Practice Tests section of my website. They become available a few days before each test. Please turn in the completed practice tests for Extra Practice points in effort and "a Great Big Round of Applause".  I am glad to see so many students doing the Extra Practice. Please continue to turn the signed and dated worksheets in when they are finished. You may give them to me any school day. Thank you for your extra effort!
