Happy New Year!

Thank you all for your generous gifts, I really appreciate them!   I am also thankful for the gift of teaching your children!  I hope you all are having a wonderful Winter Break and are excited for a new year.

During January, we will have Memory Drills on 0-12 x 0-5,  0-12 x 6, and 0-12 x 0-6. We will also have Memory Drills on  dividing by 1-5, dividing by 6, and dividing by 1-6. Please have your child study these facts at home for at least ten minutes a day.  Additionally during January, we will complete Unit 6, on the Multiplication Tables of Two and Three. At the end of January, we will begin Unit 7 on Mental Addition and Subtraction.  If you would like an outline of those units, please see the Second Grade Curriculum section on my website.

I have tentatively scheduled the following tests:

Friday, January 8th-Unit 6 Ch 1 Test on the Multiplication Table of 2.  

Friday, January 15th-Unit 6 Ch 2 Test on the Multiplication Table of 3

Friday, January 22nd- Unit 6 Ch 3 Test on Dividing by 2.

Friday, January 29th- Unit 6 Ch. 4 Test on Dividing by 3.  

If you would like your child to be better prepared for each quiz, please have them take the corresponding practice test.  They are available at the Second Grade Practice Tests section of my website.
