Happy New Year!  

Thank you all for your generous gifts, I really appreciate them!  I am also thankful for the gift of teaching your children!  I hope you all are having a wonderful Winter Break and are excited for a new year.

During January we will work on completing 25 mixed operation equations within 2 minutes.  Please have your child work on these facts at home daily at least 10 minutes.

Also during January, we will complete Unit 4, which is on multiplying and dividing by  6,7, 8 and 9. Additionally, we will complete Unit 5 on Data Analysis. At the end of January, we will begin Unit 6 on length.  If you would like an outline of those units, please see the Third Grade Curriculum section on my website.

I have tentatively scheduled tests on the following dates:

Friday, January 8th-Unit 4 Ch 3 Test on Multiplying and Dividing by 8.

Friday, January 15th-Unit 4 Ch 4 Test on Multiplying and Dividing by 9.

Friday, January 22nd-Unit 5 Ch. 1 Test on Presenting Data.  

Friday, January 29th- Unit 5 Ch. 2 Test on Probability.

If you would like your child to be bettered prepared for each quiz, please have them take the corresponding practice test.  They are available at the Third Grade Practice Test section of my website.
